Magnificent Pair of Double-faced Biforas in Asiago Biancone Marble, in perfect Neo-Gothic style. Carved and worked entirely by hand, elegant and stately decorations. Truly unique and highly crafted pair, extraordinary twisted workmanship of the vertical parts, workmanship that enhances their value and importance. Ideal as a table base that can be completed with a glass, crystal or marble top or precisely to be used as balustrades/dividers in indoor or outdoor environments, or finally put on the wall as an interior window to divide two rooms. Wonderful High Relief - St. George and the Dragon with iron spear - 85 cm x 50 cm - Nembro yellow marble

Prestigious yellow Nembro Marble High Relief depicting St. George on horseback and the dragon, worked and carved by hand. Peculiar for the presence of the iron spear. Legend has it that this saint killed the monster as the latter killed people with its breath, asking citizens to convert and be baptized in return. The work comes from a private collection from the city of Venice; it was paired with another depicting St. Michael (they were often depicted together). Of note is the attention to detail and detail (incredible fineness of the face, hands, horse and robes), the majesty of the creation conveys strength and light. The veining and patina of the marble is superfine, a true Bomboniera. Excellent workmanship and high quality craftsmanship, lot more unique than rare. Perfect proportions, sculpture of generous size and quite high weight, yet all this makes this masterpiece unique and exclusive.
