A fabulous quality early 19th Century rosewood, gilt and marble top cabinet, having the original veined grey marble top above a frieze with a highly decorative pierced and carved ormolu mount with figure head at the centre, two cupboard doors below with decorative brass grills in each panel, opening to reveal two adjustable shelves inside, the doors flanked either side with ebonised turned columns incorporating carved gilt floral decoration at the top, centre and bottom of each column, raised on a plinth base.  Circa 1830. 51" x 16" x 36 3/4" high 130cms x 41cms x 93cms high

19th Century black forest walnut casket

A good quality 19th Century black forest walnut casket, having wonderful crisp carving throughout, the hinged top lifting up to reveal a velvet lined interior, the top having a finely carved scene with various birds amongst foliage, the whole box beautifully carved with various foliage, supported on carved and shaped branches as feet.  Circa 1880.  Please note there is minor damage on one of the small birds.

A wonderful and unique 19th Century black forest carving of an elderly man sitting on a tree trunk holding a newspaper, the front of the tree trunk encased behind a circular glass window is the edelweiss plant, which comes from the slopes of the Swiss mountainside.  The newspaper that the elderly man is holding unravels to reveal an article titled "out of doors" by john Armitage detailing the search for the edelweiss star plant.  Circa 1880.

A lovely quality 19th Century black forest centre piece, having an ornate carved trunk at the centre with a removable glass stem with out swept scalloped edge, a large hunting dog standing on a rocky ground amongst various foliage with a hare in it's mouth.  wonderful crips carving and in very good condition.  Circa 1880.

A superb quality 19th Century black forest caved wood casket, having wonderful crisp carving throughout, the hinged top lifting up to reveal a large compartment space, has the original key and lock, the top itself has a multi moulded edge with floral carving and an oval plaque at the centre with an ornate carved scene of a fox on a rock formation looking down on a couple of birds, the front of the box there is a shaped panel depicting a hunting scene incorporating a fox and hound and various foliage, the back of the box has the same shaped panel but with floral carving and a rifle, with the sides of the box having a carved head of a fox one side and the other side a carved head of a hound, supported on carved scroll and floral feet.  Lovely intricate carving and on great condition.  Circa 1870.

A superb quality and finely carved 19th Century black forest linden wood bear hall stand with a cub playing in the branches above, the bear below with glass eyes looking up towards her cub and three bevelled mirrors, holding and standing on an umbrella stand.  The construction is very sturdy and the branches are more than strong enough to accommodate numerous coats and hats.  Lovely crisp carving and in excellent condition.  Circa 1880.
